Victoria Highlights

Victoria is one of the most picturesque cities in North America, and exudes Old World charm and a distinctively British flair. This tour will show you the heart and soul of why so many visitors from around the world come each year to the City of Gardens. Starting at Ogden Point you'll head into the residential neighborhoods, complete with manicured lawns, abundant flowers of all shapes and sizes, and million dollar views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountain range. Pass some of the highlights of Victoria, including views of Craigdarroch Castle, all that remains of the stately Dunsmuir estate. The tour will conclude at the Inner Harbor, the centerpiece of Victoria. This is the home of the Royal BC Museum, numerous street performers, craft vendors, food stalls, the BC Parliament Buildings, and the world famous Fairmont Empress Hotel. Note: Order of sights may vary.

Very Disappointed!!!!!
I know this was inexpensive but even so it wasn't worth the money!! Our guide first of all had NO personality. He could not get the microphone to work and wouldn't take peoples advise. He turned the heating on instead of the AC and its was boiling! He was rude and inconsiderate. He seemed to think the "highlights" of beautiful Victoria were the hospital and the University! He was not knowledgable and very dry and - quite frankly - DULL. We actually got off early before the tour was over so we could walk around town and find out some highlights of our own.

Not Worth It
spent too much time in the neighborhoods; no stops on the way for shopping; stopped for a view from a high point which was nice. Wished I had booked the Gardens.

Big disappointment
This trip was a big disappointment. We drove through the residential neighborhoods and through the town and that was it. The bus driver was dry and boring. We could have seen more by walking around town by ourselves. It started late in the day so when we got off the bus there was only enough time to walk back to the ship. It was very, very disappointing

Great Choice for Time/Cost
Our ship arrived at 6pm and left at 11:30pm. This bus tour went from 7pm-9pm which we were comfortable with and the price is reasonable. Sun did not set until 9 or 9:30. Excellent bus tour guide, very informative and incredibly polite, welcoming and friendly. Took us all over this lovely island stopping twice to let us out for photo ops. Views of snow capped-mountains were just lovely and the glimpses of gardens and parks we passed made me sorry we did not have all day at this city. When we drove through Beacon Hill Park we had to stop for a peacock crossing the road! At the end driver was willing to let people off downtown by the Empress but there were 3 cruise ships in port and we were concerned about competition for cabs back to port so we did not stay in town but went back to the ship. Great value for the price and the time constraints. We had a sunny warm clear day which I gather is not usual.
