Grizzly Falls Zipline Expeditions

Fast, fun, and exhilarating, this adventure is sure to excite nature lovers and thrill seekers alike. Get a running start on solid ground and take flight into the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest. Enjoy an entertaining tour through historic Skagway and along nine miles of stunning coastline to our base in Dyea. Then, hop in our customized Unimog - an all-wheel-drive vehicle necessary for getting up our rugged mountain road. During your ride up the mountain, look out at the impressive rainforest and get psyched - you're about to fly over this wild landscape. After you suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety, your guide will tell you how to safely navigate the course. Then, you'll clip in and fly away through our course of 11 ziplines and 4 suspension bridges. And this is more than just any zip course - our lines will bring you directly above glacially fed waterfalls. This course also includes specialty lines such as "The Pipeline," one line that's longer than two football fields combined, and "The Big Kahuna," on which you can reach speeds of 45 miles per hour. For the more cautious adventurers, rest assured that your guides will show you how you can control your own speed. You will leave this adventure with exciting stories and breathtaking photos to share with those back at home. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh between 50 lbs and 265 lbs.

Awesome!
This was so fun, don't be afraid to do it! We were paired with Freddie and Jennie and we felt totally safe the whole time. Entire crew was great. We had a blast- scenery is so beautiful and zipping is a rush.

June 2012. I have to preface this by saying that my first ziplining adventure was in Kuai, which had higher ziplines. I was not as thrilled by this course because it was not as scary as ziplines I have done in the past, but it was a great time. Almost relaxing in a way. I felt like I was hanging out with friends all day. The great part is that you have many ziplines and suspension bridges to experience from long relaxing ones to short and fast ones. You have many opportunities to impress friends with your skills and style by choosing any number of dismounts (i.e. front flip, back flip, side winder, yoga pose, hand stand). It was quite a trip out to the course, so don't think you will be ziplining the whole time. It takes a 35-40 minute ride to camp then another 15 minutes up to the course. There are gorgeous views along the way so take your camera. Side note is that you get to see the dog camp they have at the zipline office. Overall, the guides were awesome and friendly and it was a fun excursion. Note: beverages are provided when you arrive back at camp.
