Customer Reviews for White Pass Railway & Klondike Bicycle
Review 1 for White Pass Railway & Klondike Bicycle
Now, I bike but I generally don't go careening down a 3000 foot mountain highway in the freezing rain. If you haven't been on a bike in a while this is not for you. I found it to be pretty unpleasant and scary. It was pouring at the top of the mountain and the excursion didn't provide goggles so it was very hard to see. I am a very outdoorsy person but thought this was actually fairly dangerous. Maybe in better weather it would have been different but you are going down the mountain so fast that you aren't thinking about the scenery, you're trying not to crash. Maybe it was my fault for not researching what the Klondike Highway really was, but this was not fun at all.

The White Pass Railway was beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking. I can't imagine doing the full train tour by going down the same way we went up and seeing the exact same views. Being able to bike down was exhilarating and a once-in-a-lifetime event! It was all down hill and our guides stopped every two miles to make sure we were all together and for us to take pictures of the fantastic views! I would recommend this to anyone that wants to see the famous White Pass Railway, but might be bored with just riding a train the whole time. It was very cold at the top, but the bike guides had extra gloves and coats for those that needed it.
