Board a specially equipped, open-air truck safari vehicle and make your way to an unpaved road that takes you through small, colorful villages. Your guide provides information on Dominican life and culture as well as pointing out areas of interest. Your first stop will be a typical Dominican farm featuring native fruits, coconut, coffee and chocolate. Then travel to Playa El Valle, a white-sand beach fringed with palm trees. Reboard your safari vehicle for the trip to La Cascada El Valle, a beautiful waterfall. From the falls take the Loma de la Pina Trail through lush vegetation before returning to the Samana Pier. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Not recommended for people who have back or leg problems. There is no swimming at El Valle Beach.
