Tiki Hut Snorkel Park

The Tiki Hut is a 110-foot floating platform located behind the cliff of Fort Amsterdam in a calm protected area called Little Bay. Jump in and do some snorkeling - hundreds of fish call our scuttled submarine, small ship wrecks and cannons of Ft. Amsterdam home. Turtles, Stingrays, lobster, squid, octopus, and eels visit frequently. There are deck chairs, or if you prefer float in a noodle lounge with a drink in your hand. We have everything you'll need - snorkel gear, lounge chairs, shade, cash bar, barbeque, music, and safe storage for your belongings. It's perfect for everyone looking for a relaxing day, even if you've never been snorkeling, there are instructors waiting to help you. The four foot deep ocean pool is a great spot to practice. Stay as long as you wish. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Bring a towel and cash if you plan on having lunch. Food and drink are available for purchase at the Tiki Hut. Stay as long as you like, the shuttle boat makes trips to downtown and the cruise ship about every 45 minutes.

Great snorkel location
The location of the Tiki Hut is great for snorkeling and the setup makes it easy to take breaks during snorkeling. The staff are very helpful and entertaining. They provided equipment for a not-so-great swimmer like myself, that made it easy and safe to snorkel with. A helicopter, cannon, sea anemones and fish were easily seen during our time there which made it lots of fun.

This was our first excursion of the cruise and was still our favorite by the end of our trip. The Hut is fairly simple but the snorkeling is good and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you like to do some basic snorkeling, sit in the sun, and drink a few beers (or frozen fruity drinls) this is the place. The wife and I would do do this one again.
