See & Sea

This tour combines the best St. Maarten has to offer, both on land and beneath the ocean's surface. Depart Philipsburg on the Dutch side of the island, and drive up the eastern side to the second largest town in St. Maarten - Grand Case. Here you'll board a semi-submarine for an approximately 45-minute narrated tour of the coral reefs surrounding Creole Rock. The highlight of the trip is when a diver is surrounded by schools of fish and dangerous green spotted moray eels. Back on shore, your tour continues to the French capital of Marigot, where you'll have time to explore this attractive port city with its sidewalk cafes, open-air market and duty-free shops. Note: Participants must be able to walk approximately 100 feet and negotiate 7 steps into hull of boat.

good value
This excursion was a good value for the cost. The guide for the mini-submarine was friendly and very knowledgeable of the underwater life and vegetation. Watching the diver surrounded by fish was very entertaining. We had some time to visit the open-air market before boarding the submarine.

Good Value
Took this trip in Jan 2012.1st time back to St. Maarten in many years.Very pleasant & helpful driver. Assists everyone on & off the bus.He made the trip go so quickly with his humor and historical knowledge.Do not have any fear of the water or depth as it is generally clear water & you don't go too far out. When the diver goes into the water it'so interesting to see the fish surround him.We saw starfish, turtles & many beautiful fish.Went to Marigot where the driver gave us about 1 1/2 hours to explore, He recommended a french pastry shop/cafe that was so delicious. Also was able to buy some great spices, hear some local music & just browse around the market with no pressure to buy anything.Well worth the money. Going back Nov 2013.!!!

Nice Excursion
We took this excursion in January, 2013. The guides were excellent. They were humorous and entertaining. We learned a lot about both sides of St. Maarten from them. The boat ride was good. We got to see a lot of fish. The free time on the French side didn't offer a lot to see. It was just more shopping, and the market didn't offer anything new. There's only so much shopping you can do on these cruises, and very little new to see. After the 100th jewelry store, all the emeralds start running together. Nice excursion. The knowledgeable guides made it worthwhile.

GREAT EXCURSION
We had a great time. Nice bus tour of Dutch and French sides and then the semi-sub for a little tour of the coral reef and tropical fish. It's a smooth ride on the little semi-sub boat and you do not go out far, if that is a concern for anyone. You are only in about 20 feet of water. The folks on the tour are super friendly. Take lots of photos; the water is gorgeous!

Superb
Our driver, Phillipe, was vey good. He was knowledgeable and informative. We saw breath taking views, went to a market where we purchased lunch. The trip to the reef was excellent. We saw all types of marine life, the underwater aspect of the trip was fantastic.!!!!
