Airboat Adventure & Alligator Jungle

Come ride the adventure of a lifetime. Travel across the waters of the St John's River into the scenic natural wetlands of Florida on a 30-minute airboat ride. Your certified captain will whisk across the deep and shallow water into the highways of the swamp. Each ride will offer you a unique and exhilarating experience of its own. Come within hands reach of alligators, snakes, osprey and turtles. You'll also have the opportunity to see eagles, hawks, cranes, egrets and herons soaring above. As you race across the water see the picturesque habitats of Florida including pickerel weed and water lilies. Your ride will be narrated using noise canceling voice activated headsets. Be sure to hold on to your hats as you rip across the St. Johns River on this fun filled educational tour. After your airboat ride, board a coach for a short ride to Jungle Adventures Nature Park & Zoo. You can't get any closer to Florida's natural wildlife without living in the swamp. Come and experience live guided wildlife encounters with rare Florida panthers, black bears, gray wolves, white-tailed deer, tropical birds, reptiles and mammals. Take a jungle swamp cruise, be surrounded by alligators, and witness some gator feeding. See how Spanish conquistadores lived in the 16th Century at the replica Spanish fort and go on a live guided exploration of their Native American Indian Village replica. It's where old Florida meets new. Note: Wildlife sightings, while very common, are not guaranteed. This tour returns to the pier and will not be available for guests disembarking or with a back to back sailing.

You will not regret it
The ride on the bus is informative, our guide gave us a lot of information. We had nice weather which made this outing great. The air boat ride was really fun. We saw a good variety of wild life. The most fun was when the boat was drifting sideways. The captain was knowledgeable and quick to point out the animals. The alligator jungle was very educational and there was more than alligators there: bears, panthers, foxes, etc. My wife, 3 teenagers and me really enjoyed this outing.

Book This Excursion!
This excursion is amazing. Once you leave the ship, you meet up with your tour guide and take a half hour coach bus ride to Airboat Adventure. The airboat ride is awesome!!! After that, you take a short ride to Jungle Adventure. It's basically a zoo, and you get to sit through two 30 minute seminars. It's a long day, but so much fun from start to finish.

My husband and I chose this excursion for lack of what we thought was anything more interesting; we expected it to be corny but we were very pleasantly surprised! The airboat ride, first of all, was great fun at high speed (we were lucky enough to have front seats!), and we did see many alligators throughout. THEN, the jungle place was terrific. First there was a demo and lecture in a cabin, where we got to hold and/or pet several reptiles - AND actually learn something as opposed to it being just a circus-like thing. Then they had a replica of a small part of a Seminole village, with explanations and demonstrations of historical Native American tools and artifacts Finally, there was the observation of feeding the 'gators and a pontoon ride.
We learned a lot about the swamp ecosystem, we got a little exercise, and we did something different!

Wonderful excursion
Wonderful tour!!! Guide was very informative and pleasant. Charlie, the air boat captain was super. Safari Todd at the Alligator Jungle was outstanding, as was the Native American tour guide. Great day. Tour taken in Feb 2012 (not able to select that from the NCL choices.)

Great day
We decided to do this trip instead of the theme parks because of the time factor. We were 2 adults (in our 30's and 40's). Instead we chose soemthing we would usually never do in Florida but was different. This was an amazing day. over 6 hours!! The airboat ride was incredible!! While they don't guarentee a sighting right away we saw alligators...lots of them!! And the air boat ride was so much fun!! We got to hold a baby alligator too!! Afterward we went to the Alligator jungle and what an amazing place. Safari Todd is not only very knowledgeable he is very into conservation and treating animals with respect and keeping them in their natural habitat! We gained so much knowledge but we were also glad that our money went to a good cause to help this small animal park, doing so much good. They also have rescue animals to see, like puma's, coyote's, and a monkey that was severly abused. He was very inspirational. The Indian village is very informative too, and very nice to have that a part of it.
