Be on the lookout for alligators and bald eagles onboard your 15-passenger airboat. Glide through the fresh water marshes and protected wetland hammocks within the heart of the Central Florida. Your journey starts with your narrated ride to Lone Cabbage, a 100-year-old, turn-of-the-century fish camp located in the middle of the back country. Once at the camp, you'll see a live wildlife presentation and some participants will even get to hold a live alligator. Travel at speeds of almost 40 mph into pristine sections of fresh water and into the Bald-Cypress Swamp; home of the Florida alligator, American bald eagle and a huge assortment of wildlife. Your eco-guide boat Captain will ensure that you come away with a new and profound understanding of Florida's vastly different land and plant communities. You'll see birds, alligators, reptiles and learn of the unique swamp life up-close. Afterwards, you may sample alligator tail and enjoy a soft drink.
Note: Wildlife sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed during the airboat ride. Alligator sightseeing is guaranteed during the wildlife presentation. A light jacket is recommended.
