Experience the Central Florida Everglades with your certified eco-guide onboard a 15-passenger airboat. Experience beautiful protected wetland hammocks within the heart of the Central Florida Everglades. Your journey starts with your guide's narrative en route to Lone Cabbage, a 100-year-old outpost and turn-of-the-century fish camp located in the middle of the back country. Board your 15-passenger airboat for a guided adventure into the Central Florida Everglades traveling at speeds of almost 40 mph. Travel by airboat into pristine sections of fresh water marshes and up river, into the Bald-Cypress Swamp, home of the Florida alligator, American bald eagle and an assortment of wildlife. Afterwards, you may sample alligator tail and enjoy a soft drink. Then, head over to the Historic Cocoa Village for some shopping. Here, you'll delight at the indoor and outdoor cafes and ice cream parlors, ideal for people watching. The quaint gift shops offer a wide choice of merchandise, from whimsical sculptures to hand crafted jewelry, fine collectibles, one-of-a-kind antiques and clothes from the elegant to the casual. The tree-lined streets of the village offer a beautifully intimate, browser-friendly setting ideal for learning its history and mingling with the craftspeople and artisans who come to the small village to share their art with one another and visitors.
Note: Wildlife sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed during the airboat ride. A light jacket is recommended during the fall and winter months for the airboat portion of the tour. For the Historic Village portion of the tour, the coach will run down the main street to give you an overview before the coach parks. A brochure with a list of shops and a map will be given to guests. The order of the tour may vary. This tour returns to the pier and will not be available for guests disembarking or with a back to back sailing.
