Discover Atlantis & Beach Break

Your experience begins with a 25-minute bus transfer to the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island. Upon arrival, you'll be escorted to a reserved location on the beach where you'll be provided a beach lounge chair and towel to bask in the sun and a self-guided map which will help you find your way around the resort. You can enjoy shopping at a variety of unique stores, gaming in the Atlantis Casino or visit the Dig, a unique marine habitat that is home to more than 50,000 marine life. Water bikes, peddle boats, kayaks, water hammocks and snorkeling equipment are all available for an additional charge. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour (approximately 0.4 miles). Complimentary guided tours are available at the Discover Atlantis kiosk throughout the day. This tour does not include the use of the swimming pools, water slides, pool deck and pool lounge chairs, as these areas are exclusive to hotel guests. The Atlantis Resort uses a cashless system at many of its outdoor food and beverage venues located near the beach area. Guests should bring a credit card to use at these locations. Cash venues are very limited. Transportation for this tour is by bus, there is approximately 25 minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. This tour is not available for the Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Sun. The last transfer back to the ship will be one hour before sailing time.

An Experience!
The Atlantis resort is definitely something to see. From the casino to the amazing grounds and the lagoons. The dig was great, so much to see! And not to forget the amazing beaches! So beautiful! Though I thought the excursion was a little bit expensive, it was great to go out and see the resort! I would probably do it again- as I feel we missed so much!

Don't Bother
Too expensive to follow a "guide" with a flag who just deposits you on a beach.

The Dig is definitely worth seeing. Our son loved seeing all of the fish. The tanks are awesome because they are not set up with labels. You can get a card that has pictures on it to show you what the fish are.
The reserved lounge chairs are on a beach that is at the very back of the resort. It is still a very nice beach but by the time we finished walking around to see the aquarium and having lunch there were not very many lounge chairs and no one really felt like going into the water. The the children in our group was asleep.
I still would recommend this excursion because I feel you need the time to walk around the resort if you want to see it all.

definately take the atlantis beach day and or aquaventure - the beach is amazing (take advantage of the fresh coconut opened for you on the beach - delicious - The Dig where you can see the marine life is amazing - never saw so many beautiful fish, and lobsters, and manorays, and sting rays all in the same place. great to have access to the hotel for air conditioning; they even have a starbucks if you go down the stairs by the drop off place and a wonderful candy store my kids loved. definitely worth the trip. My kids loved the water slides one of which where they were surrounded by sharks; the beach was clean and water so BLUE and clear.

Great but Pricey
It's a beautiful resort. When you arrive, a tour guide greets you and gives you a brief tour of the property and explains what you have access to. The beach is beautiful. I went with my boyfriend and we spent a good 6 or 7 hours there. We spent most of our time walking around the property looking at the amazing fish tanks. We took about a hundred pictures. The only down fall was everything was so expensive. Make sure that you bring a credit card because not many places took cash. Alcohol is $10.50 a cup, water and soda is $3 and the food is between $7-$14. Even though it was pricey, all the tanks of marine life and, the gorgeous scenery was well worth it for us.
