Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim
Learn about, meet and interact with the most beloved mammal in the ocean - the bottlenose dolphin. Transfer to and from Blue Lagoon Island, home to 19 bottlenose dolphins, by boat from the pier (approximately 40 minutes each way). Upon arrival, meet the trainers for an educational briefing. This program takes place in approximately 20-foot-deep water, in small groups of no more than 10, so everyone has the opportunity to meet the dolphin while in the water and to ask questions. Highlights include a petting and feeding session with the dolphins, the popular high speed 'foot push' and optional professional photo and DVD/video opportunity.
Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age. Pregnant women are not allowed. Actual in-water encounter time is approximately 30 minutes. Children between the ages of 6 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a paying guardian/parent. The paying guardian/parent must be book at the same time of the child participant; these booking cannot be made onboard as space is very limited. Lifejackets are required and provided on a complimentary basis; wet suits are available during cooler weather. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel from your ship. You must be able to walk about 1/2 to 1 mile on the pier. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Better than I ever expected

Cruised January 2013. This was by far the best excursion on the whole cruise. It was well worth the money. In my opinion it is the best dolphin experience to choose from. It's the only one with the 'Foot Push' and you spend alot of time in the water with the dolphins. Make sure you bring a waterproof camera or have an observer to take pictures or video if you don't want to purchase their packages. They seem a little pricey but they are well worth the money if you have no other option. I would put this in my top 20 best life experiences.

CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!
THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I HAVE WANTED TO DO MY WHOLE LIFE AND WHEN MY HUSBAND SUGGESTED A CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS FOR MY 40TH BDAY I COULD NOT WAIT TO BOOK THE DOLPHIN SWIM. WE GOT TO PLAY WITH THEM, DANCE WITH THEM, HUG AND KISS THEM, AND THE BEST THING OF ALL IS THE FOOT PUSH AT THE END OF OUR EXCURSION. IT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE TIME EVER IN MY LIFE AND WE ARE BOOKING ANOTHER CRUISE NEXT YEAR AND TAKING MY 3 KIDS WITH US SO THEY CAN EXPERIENCE THE GREAT TIME WE DID. AFTER OUR SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS YOU CAN EITHER CATCH THE BOAT BACK TO NASSAU OR WHAT WE DECIDED TO DO IS GO TO THE BEACH AREA AND LAY IN THE SUN AND SWIM IN THE BEAUTIFUL CLEAR WATER. THEY HAVE A GIFT SHOP, RESTAURANT TO BY FOOD AND DRINKS, PLAY AREA FOR KIDS, SNORKEL GEAR FOR RENT, AND TONS OF OTHER THINGS TO DO. THIS WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!!!! OUR CRUISE WAS NOVEMBER 2012.

I was worried about taking my 15yo daughter here as it wasn't "Atlantis" and I was worried about sub-par quality. Boy was I surprised!! We were in a group of only 10 people, and spent at least 30 minutes in the water. The foot push was great.
They were very friendly and pretty funny (although not as funny as they thought they were). ONE PIECE OF ADVICE....WEAR A ONE PIECE BATHING SUIT. When the foot push came anyone wearing a 2 pc had to hold their pants on.
My mother (60yo) didn't want to do it, after she saw what we were doing, she was disappointed that she didn't. This is great and shouldn't be missed.

Great Dolphin Interaction
We have been to other Dolphin interaction programs, but the Blue Lagoon program allowed the most time with the dolphins - almost an hour in the water interacting with them. The dolphin swim offers much more time with the dolphins than the dolphin interaction. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The dolphins were well cared for and the facility was great. However, you don't have much time on the island to do anything else. The boat ride to the island is 40 minutes each way. If you want to buy photos or videos, get to the gift shop early....the check out process is a little slow. Overall a great experience, just wish it was a little longer.

Absolutely fabulous
"I've had the time of my life, and I never felt this way before"
The experience is well worth the cost. Blue Lagoon is beautiful and the dophins are happy. Staff are cheerful and seem to love what they do. This was by far the best experience of my cruise!!

Once in a lifetime!
Loved, loved, loved it! If you are hesitating about what to book on this day in Nassau, this is it! My 8-year-old son and I just did this last week and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. Everyone else in our group shared that sentiment, too. It was so much fun. The highlight was having the dolphins do the "foot push" propelling us individually across the lagoon. What a thrill! Be sure to book the "Swim" vs the "Dolphin Encounter." The water was cool, but we were provided with wet suits, which helped. As soon as we started interacting with the dolphins, we forgot all about the temperature, though! It was a blast. I left with an increased love and appreciation for these amazing animals. Really, this is a "must do" on your cruise.

best experience ever!!!
This was the best experience ever! The staff was very informative and friendly...it was very organized and the personal attention was great. The dolphins were very well trained and just the most amazing creatures you will ever meet. Before the excursion my husband thought that the cost was a little high-but now he is its biggest supporter-he can't say enough about it and we all think that it was worth much much more than what we paid. The dolphin push at the end was priceless!!! Awesome experience-well worth the money-we would do it again in a heartbeat!! Afterward we walked over to the beach which had an inflatable obstacle course in the water (just like Wipeout!) Everyone loved this! The water was so clean and clear-hammocks and beach chairs everywhere-and my favorite-the angel fish that swim all around you-AWESOME!

Highlight of the whole trip
My wife and I could not stop smiling after this experience with the dolphins. It is a bit on the expensive side (swim). Don't confuse Dolphin encounter with dolphin Swim. Swimming with the dolphins was spectacular, fun, and unforgettable. The group we were with and the guides made if that much more fun too. I highly recommend.
