Seaworld Explorer

This sightseeing tour highlights the panoramic views of Nassau and Paradise Island with a cruise aboard the SeaWorld Explorer, a semi-submarine that makes a fascinating underwater tour of Sea Gardens Marine Park. Transfer by boat from the dock in Nassau for an approximately 20-minute scenic ride through the waterway that divides the two famous sections of New Providence Island. Take in the sights of Nassau and Paradise Island, with its famous resorts surrounded by multi-million dollar homes of the rich and famous and marinas boasting opulent yachts. Arriving at the underwater marine park at Athol Island, transfer to the SeaWorld Explorer underwater viewing vessel. Described as a state-of-the-art glass-bottom boat, this moving underwater observatory offers a cruise while you are seated five feet below the surface of the water in air-conditioned comfort, with a view through clear glass windows. The waters around the island are known as the Sea Gardens, and are filled with shipwrecks and dozens of tropical fish, like yellowtail snapper, sergeant majors, parrotfish and queen angelfish. Observe, first-hand, a delicate colony of coral thousands of years in the making, including seafans, elkhorn, and stag horn coral, even brain coral. Then, get your cameras ready for the frantic fish feeding session. Note: An approximately 10 to 15-minute walk is required to board transportation for all Nassau tours.

Waste of Money
This excursion was a total waste of time and money. After a 15 minute walk, we boarded a rinky-dink little boat with wood benches for seating. The "guide" proceeded to YELL at us during the harbor trip because he did not have an audio system on board. The "harbor tour" was identification of the supposed owners of the huge houses on Paradise Island. The "submarine" is the bottom of a boat with small portals looking into the murky water. I would never recommend this ridiculous trip.

Eh...One time only.
This excursion was okay. It started off on a small boat that took us past several homes which our guide explained belonged to different famous people he named off. It was really a nice ride. We then met up with a boat that was in the middle of "nowhere." We boarded the semi-submarine and there were fold down chairs with windows for everyone to see the underwater life. The time that we spent on the semi-submarine was a good amount of time but a lot of us were getting a headache from the pressure, etc. The tour guides were above water and would explain that they were throwing the food out for various fish and would explain which ones we were looking at. The windows are somewhat hazy - so we didn't really get any keepsake pictures.
This is one excursion that I took on a cruise with my sister but won't be going back on to take the kids when we go to Nassau again.

Great Glass sided trip
My wife and I went, a great trip. The boat ride out was a funny but informed narration of the expensive houses. The glass sides were much better than a simple glass bottom for view. we saw star fish, shark, many colored small and large fish and turtles.
