Very Russian, Very Awesome!
Russian Folklore Extravaganza….. The Russian way of performing was in all of its glory at the Russian Folklore Dancing. Approximately 30 highly talented Russian singer and dancers with very elaborate costumes from the middle of Russia put on a 1.5 hour show that was a highlight of our trip. From the deep bass voices of the men to the high shrill of the women, it was Russia at its finest. They also served Russian champaign at Intermission in a typical Russian palace. It was well worth the money spent and an experience one will never forget.

Great Entertainment
This was a GREAT show and worth the rush from our day tour bus to our evening bus without dinner! The performance was well done and the costumes were breathtaking. I had been warned that there was a military edge to this but I did not feel that way. There wre various historic periods portrayed in the dance selections. The bus ride during daylight hours at 10:30pm was fascinating--it felt like mid-day with all of the activity going on!

Excellent
I nagged my husband into this and he enjoyed it so much he said that if we had been there a second night he would do it again. The theatre was in one of the oldest buildings in St Petersburg, there were portraits on the walls of tsars and later communist leaders, Peter the Great opposite Joseph Stalin. The singers and many musicians were in army uniform. Dancing was excellent and very acrobatic.
