Envision the thrill of gliding through the top of a rich rainforest canopy along a series of cables suspended between tall spruce, hemlock and cedar trees, all bordering the magnificent Tongass National Forest. This eco-adventure combines the rainforest canopy with a flight over seven ziplines and 4,500 feet of high-tension cables, three aerial bridges. Upon arrival at Herring Cove, an all-terrain vehicle will transport you up a steep hillside to the canopy camp where you'll be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and given a safety briefing. Ease into the forest canopy along cables, ranging from a short 175 feet to the 850-foot pulse-pounding 'Ben's Revenge.' Watch for wildlife from the tree platforms, discover a hidden waterfall, and cross three hanging sky bridges, all offering breathtaking views 135 feet above the forest floor. The final zipline emerges from the rainforest and transports you over lush grassy wetlands to a viewing tower 55 feet above ground. Descend stairs and return to the base camp, where each participant is awarded the custom-cast Alaska Canopy Adventures medal in recognition of their achievement.
Note: Participants must weigh between 90 lbs. and 250 lbs., be in good physical condition and must be comfortable with heights. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Review 1 for Rainforest Canopy Adventure & Zipline Expedition
My husband and I wanted to zipline and had originally chosen the Bear Creek course, but I changed my mind on the boat so we switched to this one. I'm really glad we did. I think the best part about this excursion was that we went super early. Was it fun getting up to be out on the bus at 6:20? Not really. But was it fun only having us and one other couple in our group? Absolutely! The guides told us that they can take up to 9 people in a group. It was awesome to not have to wait for 8 other people to do the zips while you stood on the platform. Our group was tiny and it was great. We also had some really great guides who made it super fun. They always told you how great you did, even if your landing was not so good and you couldn't keep yourself facing forward! It was my first time zip lining and it made me totally want to go again. It was fantastic! We also saw a ton of wildlife. There weren't any bears out but we saw this one tree that must've had 15 eagles in it. Plus there were tons soaring around, looking for salmon. It was beautiful!

This was such a safety oriented fun excursion! The professionalism of the staff was outstanding. We are 49 and 50 years of age and had a blast! Our guides Kale and Michelle were friendly and fun. DON'T LEAVE THE CAMERA AS WE DID- there was plenty of time for pictures!
