Ultimate Santorini

This is a great option for those who want to enjoy and learn about this amazingly beautiful island in a small guided group. Arriving at Fira, Santorini's capital, you'll walk along the narrow cobblestone streets to the Prehistoric Museum. The museum houses findings from various excavations all over the island but especially ones from the excavations at Akrotiri. Continue to the picturesque town of Oia; once a major fishing harbor it is now the calmest place on the island. Built high up on the ridge of red rocks it offers breathtaking views of the blue Aegean. Following your visit to Oia, you'll proceed to the famous village of Imerovigli, where at a local restaurant you'll enjoy a Greek style dinner while looking at breathtaking views of the caldera and the volcano. You'll conclude at the hilltop village of Fira, where you'll have the option of returning directly to your ship or remaining in town to shop or explore independently. From Fira, join the cable car and descend independently to the old port (your cable car ticket will be provided). Note: Tour participation is limited, but is subject to a minimum number of participants to operate. Tour involves walking for approximately ½ mile on level and cobblestone streets. Not recommended for guests on wheelchairs. Temperatures can reach extreme highs during summer months; we recommend that you drink a lot of water and use suitable sun protection. Lines for the cable car are very long, especially during summer months or when there are several ships in port; please allow sufficient time to return to the tender landing pier.

Incredibly beautiful!
I left my heart in Santorini in Oia! What a fantastic tour! So much beauty and wonderful, friendly people. Luckily, the bus takes you almost to the top but you still have to be able to climb up the rest of the way to the top on cobble stones. I had to use my cane and huff and puff but it was so worth it. There is a lot of walking. But there are places to sit down to rest for free. Beautiful little shops, unique restaurants, and a spectacular view. I suggest you have a bottle of water and you can get cold water up at the top. We took the cable car down, it wasn't scary. We stayed all day until 9:00pm. We didn't want to leave! You will see the blue topped churches and so much more! 5 stars!

Ultimate indeed
A great tour if you want to make the most of your day busy touring. It covers the main points in Santorini and make it very entertaining. The bus was small and more intimate which is good but for the ones on the back seat it was a little hard to listen to tour's guide very knowledgeable information. Santorini is one of the greatest port, try to make the most of your day! If you want to spend time shopping, this is not the best tour to accomplish that! They certainly cramp as much as possible and make your money worth it.

Fantastic Experience
Start at the museum and learn about the history of the Greeks. Then two or three hours of shopping and sight seeing (you'll be at or near the top of the island). The views are magnificent. Then go to a restaurant where the owner greets each person as though you are an invited guest. We tried several terrific wines and had more food served than an army could eat!
Just an amazing day with lots of fun people.
Highly recommend.
