Drive to North Douglas Island for scenic views of the Mendenhall Glacier and Auke Bay. After receiving your gear and instructions, climb aboard your two-person kayak to navigate the Mendenhall Wetlands and on a clear day see the Mendenhall Glacier. The kayaks will give you a sense of how the Aleut Indians traveled the costal waterways of Alaska. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age, weigh between 40 and 250 lbs. and be in good physical condition. Paddling duration is approximately 1 1/2 hours.
