Four Glacier Adventure By Helicopter

Soar over the massive Juneau Icefield on this signature tour, the Glacier Adventure by Helicopter. Visit a landscape from another world. Experience the spectacular icefalls and rock formations of the Juneau Icefield from the air and on foot. Accessible only by air, the region is filled with lush forests, glassy alpine lakes, jagged mountain peaks, and awe-inspiring glaciers. On this unforgettable journey you may find Alaska's unique glaciers in differing stages: advancing, retreating, cascading, or a one-of-a-kind floating glacier. After flightseeing over these amazing glaciers, your pilot will gently land on one of these ancient "rivers of ice". Under your pilot's expert guidance you will get the chance to walk on an Alaskan glacier, explore the ancient landscape, and experience the otherworldly blue of Alaska's glacial ice! Note: Participants must be at least 2 years of age. Flight time is approximately 35 minutes, with an approximate 15-minute landing on a glacier. Although the glacier landing is not ADA accessible, guest will remain on board the aircraft with the doors opens to enjoy a scenic view of the glacier. Wheelchair access may be limited - for details, please consult your Shore Excursion staff before booking. This tour is non-refundable once booked. Must do
Helicopter trip over the glacier is a must do. Yes its expensive (did the price go up?), but the cruise would much diminished if you don't.
When we were on the glacier, we saw the planes flying overhead, and I think those people must have been really jealous of us!
Our pilot was extremely good, smooth ride and easy.

AMAZING!
By far the best excursion I booked while in Alaska!!!! The views from helicopter were breath taking. Then, to land on a glacier and see 178 dogs sitting there next to their little igloos waiting to take you for a ride, was a once in a lifetime feeling. Worth every penny and I would do it again in a hearbeat. It was freezing so dress accrodingly.

must do - Even if you are afraid of heights
My husband and I did this excursion together. I did so with much trepedation because I have a fear of heights. However, I did not want to miss out on what was sure to be an unforgettable experience and I was not sorry. Something about the coziness of the inside of the helicopter did not set of my height issues and the scenery was fantastic. The pilot takes questions and answers through earphones that everyone wears to combat the noise issue. Walking around the glacier is awe-inspiring. We were there during the warmest September on record - it was a very clear sunny day and was in the 60s in port but it was very cold on the glacier so heed the warnings about dressing warmly. We did not have a single regret about the $$ on this one!

Glacier Adventure by helicopter
This trip was spectacular. Have not been in a helicopter for years, but the newer ones are quieter, and have better views. Landing & walking on the glacier really gave you the feeling of how big the glaciers are, and views were second to none. Would recommend this for any teen or adult.
