This fun-filled tour begins with cruise on a spacious catamaran boat that includes a 30-foot waterslide and 30-foot rock climbing wall. Bar and grill available at an additional cost. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

A Blast!
I have done this excursion twice and had a blast both times. The guides are highly informative and very entertaining. Your trip starts with a 25-30 min bus ride from the boat to the marina where the snorkel boat is located - make sure you ask the bus driver when he is planning on coming back after your excursion so you can plan accordingly. Buses do come every 30-45 min but if you are running late to get back on the boat, or you want to hit Senor Frogs, you may want to catch an earlier bus.
The guides require that anyone under 15 wear a life vest, and it is an option for anyone else. I'd recommend taking it. I'm 24 and a very strong swimmer and I wish I had! Swimming in the open ocean (which was very choppy both times I went) is not like swimming on the coast line or in a lake. There were at least two grown men on the boat who wound up throwing up because of a belly full of sea water.
In addition to the beautiful fish and coral formations, they offer a rock climbing wall and water slide which is a blast. Rock climbing on the open ocean poses a bit more of a challenge than it does on land.
Snacks (burgers and hot dogs), beer and soda, under water cameras and fish food are available for purchase on the boat and not unreasonably priced so make sure you bring cash. Have fun!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
I AM TERRIFIED OF THE WATER UNLESS IT IS A BATH TUB OR A SWIMMING POOL SO I WAS HESITANT TO BOOK THIS EXCURSION. AFTER THE SHORT BUS RIDE TO THE PIER WE TOOK THE BOAT OUT AROUND THESE BEAUTIFUL REEFS WHERE THE WATER WAS NO MORE THAN 15 FEET DEEP AND YOU CAN SEE STRAIGHT TO THE BOTTOM. I WAS SO SCARED TO GET IN BUT ONE OF THE LADIES HELPED ME BY PULLING ME ON HER BUOY UNTIL I FELT COMFORTABLE GOING ON MY OWN. AFTER 15 MIN OR SO I WAS SWIMMING ALL OVER AND EVEN GOING DOWN THE SLIDE. THE LIFEGUARDS ON THE BOAT WERE LAUGHING BECAUSE I WAS SO SCARED TO GET IN AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE I DIDN'T WANT TO GET OUT AND THEY WERE TELLING MY HUSBAND I LOOKIED LIKE A DOLPHIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXCURSION FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS EVEN IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF THE WATER. THE LIFEGUARDS WERE GREAT AND EVEN DOVE TO THE BOTTOM TO GET ME A HUGE SAND DOLLAR AND CONCH SHELL. THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE THINGS I HAVE EVER DONE AND CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK!!! WE WENT NOVEMBER 2012.

A Great Experience
After a short bus ride to the Pier, we boarded the ship and traveled to our destination. The tour operaters were very friendly, informative and very accomodating. They worked with any level snorkler. We even had grandpa with us! When my 14 & 12 year old asked what he was diving for, he explained and helped them locate sand dollars. Each child was given a sand dollar souvenior to remember the experience. My kids are still talking about the wonderful day on the boat.

Safe and Fun
We were traveling with a 7 and 8 year old (moderate swimmers) so safety was a primary concern. Nothing to worry about - there were maybe 5 lifeguards on board and in the water. They did a terrific job assisting people who may (or may not) be getting tired, They surrounded the reef area so no one drifted too far (another concern of mine). They kept a close eye on everyone. There were life vests to assist with floating, as the current was pretty strong and even the best swimmers got tired of treading water after an hour.
Beyond safe, it was fun!! Everyone including the kids snorkeled and fed fish. The 'fish food' was $1 a bag and definitely worth it. All kinds of colorful fish came out of coral nooks and surrounded us, brushing by us. Once we had enough snorkeling, the two story water slide was open, and that was fun also. You get dumped into the ocean, and swim along the length of the boat to the other end to get back on and do it all over again.
We did not do the rock climbing wall, the kids were too tired after snorkeling and water sliding. They did it on the way back to shore.
You get dismissed with plenty of time to browse the shops but we jumped on a bus earlier than assigned and got back to the ship.

This was my first time snorkeling, and I'm not the strongest swimmer in the world, so I was a bit nervous.
The staff was great; there were about 7 of them for our group and half joined us in the water. They provided flotation devices, which was great because it allowed me to concentrate on keeping my face underwater and watching the sea life.
The views were absolutely amazing! On the boat ride there and back, the staff stayed energetic and kept us entertained with music and jokes. Overall this was a great experience for a first-timer and a family-friendly excursion as well.

Excellent Excursion!
I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to go snorkeling in the Bahamas! We recently did this and had a great time! The staff on the boat was very professional and made sure that everyone on the boat had a fun time. Neither my husband or I had ever snorkeled before and the staff were all very helpful in teaching us how. There were life jackets available to those who could not swim, or who just wanted to wear one, and there were at least 3 lifegaurds on duty as well, so we all felt very safe as we were swimming in the ocean. While snorkeling, we saw tons of beautiful fish and had fun on the water slide, too! Overall, we had a really great experience and think that others would really enjoy it also.

This was a great tour. Jason on the boat was great had alot of information for us. Great time snorkeling and did not take but 10 minutes to get to the reef. Alot of fish to see and they will eat out of your hand, the fish food cost a dollar and the drinks on board are reasonably priced. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Felt safe the entire time the crew members were in the water with us and checked on everyone to make sure we were ok.

Fun Time
We were able to see quite a few different fish in the area that the boat takes you to! There are about 2-3 different types that come through in schools (at least 20-30 in one spot!). The boat was nice, although if it's sunny and you want to catch some rays, only about half the passengers can fit on the outside deck of the boat, otherwise you're forced to sit upstairs under the shade. There was a grill aboard that offered burgers, hotdogs, snacks and drinks. The drinks were $6/each, but they weren't that strong. There was a slide and climbing wall on board. They announced that the slide was open while everyone was out snorkeling and by the time I got back in and dried off, they had already closed it up! They also only gave about 30 minutes for the rock wall, which didn't allow for everyone to use it, either. They sell underwater cameras on board for $20, but I picked one up at Walmart before leaving for $8, so I suggest buying it at home! The trip says it takes 3 hours, with 1 hour time transport. Here is what it really is, which was quite disappointing: left at 9:30am, arrived at 10am, got on boat at 10:15am, came back to docks by noon... then we had until 1:45 until the first of 3 buses transported us back to the ship. Buses came at 1:45, 2:45 and 3:45pm. We thought we'd be back to the ship by 12:30 (3 hours from the time it "began") for lunch, but instead it was more like 2:15. We had gotten hungry and there are restaurants in Lucaya (area where the docks were) but they were pricey. We also did not know we would have the choice to stay until 3:45pm, and if we knew they ahead of time we would have came prepared with money for lunch and would have liked to stay and go to the local beach nearby. Overall, I would have liked to be on the boat longer and would have liked to know ahead of time that there was a beach nearby we could go to after and that we'd be there during lunch time.

Great intro to snorkeling
We went in June 2011 with whole family (children ages 7 and 10). The kids had practiced snorkeling in the swimming pool at home which I think helped. The snorkeling was great--lots of fish and coral--and the water wasn't too choppy. After snorkeling the slide and climbing wall were a fun diversion. (I recommend bringing a pair of goggles for slide). The food on the boat was not outrageously priced--but we brought our own snacks and drinks anyway. Do bring cash...even if you don't buy food on the boat, you have an hour in straw market before going back to the boat (unless you take a cab which we did).
