Croatian Riviera & Dubrovnik: Pre-book & Save $20

Romantic charm and beautiful scenery will make your visit to Dubrovnik memorable. After a photo stop to take in the magnificent view of Dubrovnik from a vantage point by the road, drive through the picturesque villages of the fertile Konavle Valley to a restaurant located in an old mill next to the cascading waters of the Ljuta River. Here, your gracious host will offer you a light snack of local specialities such as smkoed ham, cheese, home made bread & glass of local wine. Continue to the seaside resort of Cavtat. You'll have free time to enjoy the quiet little town, a favorite destination for sailors and yacht enthusiasts. Then drive back to the charming Dubrovnik Old Town for an orientation tour with your guide, followed by free time to explore on your own. Note: This tour is not suitable for passengers who have difficulties walking due to the uneven cobblestone streets. There is approximately 1 1/4 miles of walking. Tour may be operated in reverse order. When tendering in to Dubrovnik Old Town tour duration will be shorter. Online price is inclusive of the Pre-book and Save offer.

Beautiful Area
My husband liked this excursion better than I did. Our guide spoke English well and was easily understood. We drove through the countryside with commentary provided along the way. We spent too long at a small town with a marina. There was an old cathedral there and the rest was shops and cafes. Later we went to a countryside restaurant with a small river running through it. A light meal of wine and a ham and cheese sandwich was provided. The bread and cheese were very good. The last stop was Old Town for a walking tour. It is interesting and the guide was informative with historical facts about the buildings and their uses over time. Currently, there are cafes and shops in the lower floors of the older buildings. Ladies beware the public restrooms there---they are stand up toilets! Overall, Dubrovnik is a lovely place.

Could have spent the week there!
This was a phenomenal tour....I highly recommend it! I am trying so hard to remember the name of our guide but it escapes me. Anyway, she was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We had a nice air conditioned bus that drove us along the high scenic roads with views of the surreal deep blue sea below. We made a brief stop in a small seaside village for some free time and had the best ice cream I have ever eaten! There is a public bathroom here attended by women. I believe it was about 50 cents in US money. Well worth it...it was very clean. Also, bring water if you don't want to keep stopping to buy some. I'm told it gets quite hot but the weather when we were there on June 21st was just perfect! We went to a quaint little restaurant that had wine and sandwiches waiting for us and there was the most darling water mill there. We then went to Dubrovnik for a very informative tour of this breathtaking city and were then given almost an hour of free time which my friend and I used to have delicious oysters at a restaurant near one of the beautiful churches. Bring A LOT of batteries for your camera because every moment is an opportunity for a gorgeous photo. This is a beautiful place and I am considering going back to spend more time. Croatia is not part of the European Union so there money is the kona but everywhere we stopped accepted Euro so no need to get kona for this stop. Two big thumbs up!!!
