Walking Tour & Cable Car
Depart the Port of Dubrovnik on foot to the newly opened cable car station situated in the vicinity of the Old Town. Arriving at the station, proceed by cable car to Srd Hill. From here you'll enjoy a bird's eye view of the greatness of the city and surroundings. You'll never forget the centuries-old Dubrovnik rooftops. After returning by cable car to the main station, your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the Old Town. At the end of the walking tour, you'll have free time to enjoy the Old Town on your own and return to your ship at leisure.
Note: Tour participation is limited, but a minimum needs to be reached in order to operate. This tour is not suitable for passengers who have difficulties walking due to the uneven cobblestone streets and approximately 1 mile of walking. When tendering into Dubrovnik Old Town tour duration will be shorter.

Fun and Educational with Exceptional Views!
Dubrovnik has a beautiful old town area... and the best way to appreciate it is from the top of the hill via the cable car. Unfortunately, the cable car closes frequently for "vip" visitors... The best way to guarantee it's not closed when you make that climb up to the station? Take this excursion! Our guide took us straight to the station, using her local connections to get us on the last gondolas to the top before they closed... Leaving several independent traveling individuals staring at the station and wondering why it was closed.
In addition to the bird's eye view of Dubrovnik, you get a walking tour of the old town... including the cultural significance of what you're seeing and a local's background on the war of the 90's and it's impact on the area. Afterwards, there is plenty of time for an independent stroll in the old town and shopping.

We enjoyed the view-but an hour was too long!
We were taken to cable car by guide and bypassed the queues as we were on a tour. Having reached the top she told us that we had an hour to enjoy the view and left us giving no information about the view or the cross and altar which were just below the cable car terminus. There was also an interesting museum museum devoted to the homeland war about which again she gave us no information. Eventually she took us back to the Old Town and gave an informative tour of the town if a little rushed. Most of the information was however in the guide book we looked at before the tour. We felt more time could have been spent in the town and less abandoned at the top of the cable car. We would recommend anyone who wants to see Dubrovnik Old Town to buy a guide book and do it independently.
