Salsa making has never been so much fun. Enjoy a hands-on cooking experience, where you'll learn to make not one, not two, but seven authentic salsas. Follow along as two dancing chefs instruct you on how to make a variety of salsas such as fiery red salsa, Oaxacan guacamole, pico de gallo and a Rompope dessert salsa. You'll also learn how to make an authentic margarita and a frozen strawberry margarita. And if you're hungry, no worries! You'll be trying your culinary creations with tasty cheese quesadillas, chicken taquitos and corn chips. If you're thirsty, that's covered too. You'll have the opportunity to try an assortment of drinks, including all-you-can-drink lime and strawberry margaritas, Jamaica tea (hibiscus herbal tea) and bottled water. Then, once you have mastered your cooking skills, your dance instructor will have you moving and swinging to the sounds of salsa music. The tour takes place at a four star beach front resort, with stunning views and direct access to the beach. After class, you'll have the choice to relax on the beach, enjoy one of the hotel's pools, rent snorkel gear or enjoy the superb reefs of the Chankanab National Park. So put on your chef hat and polish those dance shoes, because this tour has it all. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and must be 21 years of age to drink. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back, neck or heart problems. Ground Transportation provided to and from ship.

Very Disappointed
My wife was so looking forward to this as I was. It was a quick ride to the resort. When we got there they told us it was going to be inside not outside on the beach, that was a BIG let down, who wants to be inside a conference room when you are on vacation. They should have told us this when we were at the terminal and offered us the choice to cancel. They said that the weather was calling for rain. (Slightly overcast, NO Rain) The girls that put this on are Great. The description also says food well don't skip breakfast as there was only some Chips for the Salsa, small Cheese Quesadilla and 4 small 2 inch taquitos, that was for both of us. We left before the Salsa dancing so we could see the area and beaches.
Cozumel was more commercial than Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya. I start by saying this as your dollar will go further if buying souveniers. I negotiated for sunglasses in Belize that were advertised $5 less here. In terms of the class you get exactly what is advertised. They chefs were very energetic and the staff was tremendous. We made mutliple salsas and our margarita glasses were nevery empty. I understand why it gets such high ratings. Drinking and using a knife to dice vegetables for salsa was a concern but no injuries. You will not move alot and it is reflected in the activity level. The alcohol and activity level left me bored. My wife however thoroughly enjoyed it. She especially loved learning the salsa moves at the end.

Spicy and Fun
This tour was excellent and I think it has something to offer for everyone even if you dont like your salsa too spicy. You can make all the salsas to your taste. The dancing chefs are really fun and not to mention the beach front property is beautiful. After the class is done you can stay and enjoy the beach for a while .The light snacks they provided were delicious and the waiters were sure to always keep your glass full. They offered unlimited Margaritas , bottled water or Jamaica juice you have the option to make any drink non alcoholic if you wanted to. The whole thing was really organized and food was prepped very well . After you are done making salsa they clear the floor to dance. This was really entertaining !

Salsa making fun
The Salsa and Salsa was very good way to kill a few hours. The host and trainers were very outgoing, funny, and entertaining. The salsas made were good and memorable and well appreciated and combined with the flowing Margerettas, no compliants whatsoever. Facility was nice and the time was good. Getting to the place was a little hectic, but I attributed that to a great increase in interest from their orginal set-up and thus the use of small taxis verse have larger vans to move all quicker. Still in fariness they did a very good job of getting everyone there and back and the excursion was very fun and enjoyed. Glad I took it and even at nearly 4 hours, still had time left to shop and browse a little more of the port.
Took this excursion w/6 other girl friends. We were given chef hats & aprons. We were paired up to learn how to prepare the salsas, then ate what we made while drinking 'Ritas. Then we were taught how to salsa dance. I would not recommend children under the age of 10; there were a couple of toddlers there who were not entertained & cried; distracting to the instructions. However, they did finally take a nap. I would recommend this excursion.

The most fun I have ever had on an excursion. The salsa recipes were excellent, margaritas were great, & view was incredible!
