Dune Buggy & Beach Snorkel

Start your engines and hold on to your hats! Say hello to life on the open road as you journey around the island in a customized dune buggy convertible! From the town of San Miguel where locals live, past the tourist filled hotel district, to the picture perfect natural terrain of the eastern coast and even snorkeling in the ocean. Your guide will show you the diverse regions and exotic beauty of Cozumel on this buggy tour with a snorkel excursion, beach break and optional shopping experience! Feel the wind through your hair as you drive your buggy along the stunning coastal road between the breathtaking blues of the Caribbean and the mysterious greens of a tropical jungle. Let loose on the white sands of our secluded beach located on the eastern shore. You can play games in the sun, take a refreshing dip in the sea or sit in the shade of an umbrella and enjoy the Mexican lunch provided. Then get in gear for a glimpse beneath the surface of the sea on an offshore snorkel experience where you can swim in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age to snorkel and must be at least 21 years of age and provide a valid license to drive. There will be four guests per car. All cars are stick shift (manual). This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back or neck problems. The snorkeling portion of the tour is prohibited to guests with asthma, cardiac problems, diabetes, and epilepsy or those under medications such as anti- depressants, lithium, beta blockers and base vein constrictors. Snorkel location is subject to change due to weather conditions. Vehicles accommodate up to four participants and you may be paired up with others.

awesome!!
This was a great day. The dune buggy ride started just outside the port. We were matched up with another couple because they hold 4 people. It was a bit of a dusty ride but the views were wonderful. We drove to the beach which was beautiful and there was lots of seating for everyone. We chose not to snorkel and decided to enjoy the sun and beach instead. A good lunch was provided as well as soda. We could have stayed longer on the beach. On the ride back we stopped at the lighthouse, ruins and crocks. The guides were great, funny and informative. This was a fantastic excursion and I would recommend it to anyone.

Disappointed in Cozumel
Our family of 4 enjoyed the dune buggy ride to and through the Punta del Sur preserve, but the points of interest, lunch and snorkeling components were lame (not a reef at all, just a few stray patches of coral, and a meager lunch of chips, chicken, rice/beans, and salad). Considering that the excursion cost $400 plus tip, we expected better than what was offered.

Highlight of trip
This was the best excursion we took on this trip! Even though one of the buggies in our group kept breaking down and had to be replaced we still had a great time. We were still able to do all of our planned activities. Our guide, Carlos was very informative and funny!! He was patient with those of us who weren't as experienced with snorkeling as some of the others. We had a great lunch on a gorgeous beach, saw some crocodiles, mayan ruins and a light house. It was a great day! We even made some new friends! Highly recommend this excursion! Ask for Carlos!!

This was an amaizing excursion. Our guide Carlos was awesome. He was friendly, and the other guide Clemente was also friendly. They were both knowledgable, funny, and helpful.
The dune buggy ride through town from the pier to the park was fun. It was a blast. Also, seeing the waves crashing and feeling the wind as you were driving was very nice. I never stopped smiling. The views were great!!!
The park we went to had a view of crocodiles in the lagoon, very cool to see the large animals! We also saw some mayan ruins there. This was interesting to learn about the mayans and how smart they were. We even got to see some iguanas. The guides were very knowledgeable about the mayans. Also in the park we were able to snorkel. Very fun for my husband. I elected to not snorkel and relax on the beach and rest in a hammock. The beach and water was amazing. Crystal clear water (and warm too). The beach had soft sand, plenty of lawn chairs and hammocks. The beach was my favorite part because it was so quiet. Not many people came to this beach except if you were on this excursion, so it was very relaxing. They gave us a Mexican food buffet. The food was DELICIOUS! My husband said snorkeling was fun, but because it was quite windy, he was a bit tired afterwards. After lunch we visited the lighthouse. Great views, nice little souvenier shops. Awesome time! Overall my favorite excursion on my cruise. I would go back to Cozumel to go on this excursion again. I could have stayed all week at this park. Thanks Norwegian and Carlos for this excursion!!! Worth the money!!! Can't say enough good things about this purchase!!! THE BEST!!!

Go on this one!
This was so much fun. Our family is wife, husband and 7 yr old child. Jerry was awesome with our boy. He didnt want to snorkel so Jerry towed him around in a life vest on a boogie board so we could. Snorkeling was awesome, Wifr thinks to liitle, I'm a terrbible swimmer and it was enough for me (45 minutes they said- so 4 stars overall- but we had other things to do in the time we had). Could have taken a break and done more, but off hot rodding dune buggies around the island to a nice lunch and shopping. Take this one!
