Enjoy the fun and adventure of Corfu's countryside while traveling over stony trails through the olive groves. You'll catch glimpses of the sparkling Ionian Sea and beautiful green hills and take a look at the traditional way of life led by many of the local people. After picking up your 4 x 4 vehicle at the pier, your guide will lead you up the main coastal road to the northeast of the island. You'll then take small country roads to quaint villages, stopping at one of the prettiest traditional and oldest villages of the island to take in the views. Then take an uphill narrow winding road (with 27 zigzag turns) to the Sokraki where you'll stop once more to admire one of the most fantastic panoramic views. Following a dusty road, you'll arrive at Troumbetta. You'll also pass through other picturesque sites and stop at Bella Vista to take in some more spectacular views and enjoy some refreshments and Greek snacks. You'll find it difficult to decide which village is the prettiest as all will leave you with incredible pictures and memories. At the end of the tour you'll visit a traditional Koum Kouat distillery. The Koum Kouat citrus fruit, a variety which only grows in Corfu, is made into one of the island's most famous products - a liqueur with the same name, plus fruit-preserved sweets. You'll be able to view a small exhibition of antique distillery equipment, sample the produce and of course purchase local liquors.

My daughter and I (both adults) were on this tour on 9/24/12. It was in the mid-90s, perfect weather. I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned into a memorable and fun tour. *You must know how to drive a stick shift and do hair-pin turns and not stall the vehicle on an uphill stop.* Heights should not bother you. We had a ball!!! Beautiful scenery, you go way up to the top of Corfu and turn off at some out of the way places with incredible, breath-taking views! We even got to see Greek kitties. I had a total knee replacement 6 months ago and I could do this tour easily! Loved it!!! Highly recommend it!
One of the best excursions in which my husband and I have participated. The jeep tour was great with a true feel of the island. The guide was fantastic. Make sure you can drive a stick REALLY WELL since there are many hairpin turns and steep hills! The only drawback is that we did not like the Kumquat winery.
We did the 4x4 excursion on 6/27/11 as a family and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are warnings about cramped quarters for more than 2 in the jeep, but our family of 4 adults (three of which are near 6 foot or taller) had no issues. It was fun being together and getting to share the experience. The beauty of this port doesn't lie in the town, but in the landscape, which you get to see a lot of on this excursion. Trip was well-organized and safe. There are a lot of switch-backs but no one got car sick. This excursion was well-worth the money and highly recommended if you love incredible scenery and photo opps.
