Enjoy a scenic drive to the outskirts of Boston to discover the historic battlefields of Lexington and Concord. Learn how these onetime farming communities played such a pivotal role in the earliest days of the American Revolution. A visit will be made to Lexington Green, where Paul Revere made his midnight ride to warn the minutemen that the British were coming. Continuing to Concord and the Old North Bridge, you'll see where the British were confronted by 400 minutemen, and the first full battle of the Revolution began as the 'shot heard round the world' was fired. Your guide will also point out the homes of some of America's most renowned authors including Nathaniel Hawthorne, Louisa May Alcott and Ralph Waldo Emerson. On your return via Cambridge, stroll past the hallowed halls of America's oldest and most prestigious university, Harvard.
